PM Modi on Sunday inaugurated South Western Railway(SWR) Zone’s Hubballi train station, its name registered in the Guinness world records for having the longest railway platform in the world at Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji station.
It has been constructed at the cost of 20.1 crores, as a part of railway renovation stations. The railway department also purposed to construct three new platforms in addition to the existing 5 platforms. The purposed projects will help to better meet the city’s needs.
The longest platform will enhance the operational capacity. It also saves the precious time of the passengers by avoiding the haunting of express trains, it will help to operate trains simultaneously in two directions.
The PM also inaugurated a 118-kilometer Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway and he stated that these initiatives will support the region’s economic growth while also promoting tourism.
