The Indian team has shown its amazing performance in the ongoing Paralympic Athletics event in Kobe, Japan. The Indian Paralympic team picked up its first medals through their high jumper Nitish Kumar and runner Preethi Pal, both are excellent athletes. In this competition, Preethi Pal won the bronze medal in the 200 meters running competition. American Roderick Townsend won the gold with a high jump of 2.05 meters, and Nitish Kumar won the silver medal with a jump of 2.05 meters. This is India’s first medal on the third day of competitions. Another Indian athlete, Ram Pal, finished in sixth place with a best performance of 1.90 meters. Nitish Kumar had also won silver in the same event in the 2023 edition.
