Apple launch the new iPhone 13 series at its California streaming event on Tuesday. Similar to the iPhone 12 series, the new iphone 13 series come in four sizes, the new iPhone 13 featuring a 6.1-inch display, iPhone 13 mini with a 5.4-inch display, iPhone 13 pro featuring a 6.1-inch display, and the iPhone 13 pro Max with a 6.7-inch display.
The iphone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will be available in five colours – Pink, Blue, midnight, Starlight, and (PRODUCT)RED. Apple has finally ditched the base 64GB storage model, which means the 128GB is the new entry-level capacity for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. The iPhone 13 pro and iPhone 13 pro max will be available in four colours – Graphite, Gold, Sliver and Sierra Blue. Apple, for this year’s pro model, has introduced an all-new 1TB storage model.
iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini: India price and release date
The iPhone 13 mini will be available in India starting at Rs 69,900 for the 128GB model, while the 256GB model comes at Rs 79,900 and the 512GB model at Rs 99,900. The iPhone 13 will be available in India starting at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB stroge model, 256GB at Rs 89,900 and the 512GB model at Rs 109,900.
The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will be available in India as part of the first wave markets this Friday, starting September 17. Interested users in India can pre-order starting at 5:30 pm IST on Friday. Both iPhone 13 models will be available in India starting September 24.
iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 pro Max : India price and release date
The iPhone 13 Pro price in India starts at Rs 119,900 for the 12GB storage model. The 256GB model comes at Rs 129,900, 512 GB at Rs 149,900, and the 1TB storage model at Rs 169,900. Coming for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it starts at 256GB at Rs 139,900,512GB at Rs 159,900, and the 1TB storage model at Rs 179,900.
Same as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, the all-new Pro models will be available for pre-orders starting at 5:30 pm IST this Friday and available beginning September 24.
iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini: Key features
The all-new iPhone 13 series looks identical to the iPhone 12 models, except for minor visual changes and under the hood upgrades. The iPhone 13 models feature flat edges, rounded corners and come with an IP68 metal body. Apple says that it has reduced the display notch by 20 per cent, which is the first big refresh since the iPhone X launch in 2017.
During the keynote, Apple said that the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini sport 1200 nits of peak HDR brightness, which is fantastic. However, they miss out on the 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there’s the new A15 Bionic chip powering the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini sport dual cameras at the back, featuring 12-megapixel sensors, where the primary one comes with an f/1.6 aperture and sensor-shift stabilization. The company says that the iPhone 13 models can let 47 per cent more light gathering, but we will wait for the reviews to say that. At the front, there’s a 12-megapixel TrueDepth selfie camera with a Centre Stage feature. One of the biggest changes expected is on the battery front. apple claims that the iPhone 13 mini can offer upto 2.5 hours of extra time over the iPhone over the iPhone 12 model.
iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone Pro Max key features
The iPhone 13 Pro models get the much anticipated 12Hz refresh rate and overhauled cameras. During the keynote, Apple said that the ProMotion display on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max could go from 10hz to 120Hz. Both the phones come with exact display sizes like iPhone 12 series- 6.1-inch for the Pro and 6.7-inch for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apple also claimed that the panels on pro models are up to 25 pre cent brighter outdoors.
Apple features a triple 12-megapixel sensor with a f/1.5 aperture, while the company says that the new setup can capture up to 2.2x more light. The company also confirmed that the telephoto camera has a new f/2.8 lens and 3x optical zoom. The ultra-wide camera has also received upgrades and now features an f/1.8 aperture. The pro models can record 4K videos at 30fps, and the company has confirmed that users will be able to edit the ProRes videos on the iPhone. There’s an A15 Bionic chipset under the hood.
Much like other iPhone 13 models, the iPhone 12 pro is claimed to offer 1.5 hours more on a single charge than the 12 pro, while the 13 pro Max may offer 2.5 hours more than the 12 pro max.
