War In Ukraine : Russian Forces Bombed Ukraine’s Mariupol Mosque Sheltering 80 Civilians

The Russian soldiers has bombed a Mosque in Mariupol city which was sheltering 80 civilians. It was the Mosque of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and his wife Roxolana (Hurrem Sultan). The Foreign Minister tweeted that about more than 80 adults and children were hiding there including some of the citizens of Turkey from the heavy shellings of the Russian invaders.

A spokesperson for the Ukrainian Embassy said that 86 Turkish citizens, including 34 children were among those who took shelter as a refuge in the mosque to escape from the Russian attacks. Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Turkey has evacuated nearly 14000 of its trapped citizens from Ukraine. There are also thousands of civilians who have been trapped in Mariupol by the attack of the Russian soldiers. These civilians has no food to eat, no water and heat in the middle of the freezing temperatures.

The Ukraine officials claims that over 1500 people have been killed and they have accused Russia for targeting civilians and its populations. Among those three people in a children’s hospital were killed.
