What is Corona Virus?

Corona Virus (Cov) are a large family of virus that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MER-COV) and severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-COV). A novel coronavirus is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans. Corona viruses are transmitted between animals and people. The scientist and doctors named this novel corona virus is COVID19.

COVID19 stands for CO-Corona, VI-Virus, D-Disease, 2019- year

COVID19: How it started?

The whistle blower ophthalmologist who warned at first On 30 dec 2019 at wuhan central Hospital named Li Wenliang saw a patient report which showed a positive result with a high confidence level of SARS coronavirus tests. He wrote in a private chat group of his medical school classmates. At that time 7 confirmed cases of SARS were reported to the hospital from huanan seafood market.

He also posted the patients examination report and CT scan image. It has been confirmed that they are coronavirus infections. When his warnings were share later publicly on 3rd January 2020 wuhan police summoned and admonished him for “making false comments on the internet.”
On 12th January Li wenliang was admitted to intensive care at houhu hospital district, wuhan central hospital where he was quarentied treated and tested for the virus several times until he tested positive for the infection on 30th jan. he was diagnosed with the virus infection on 1st feb. on 6th feb Li told his friend that his oxygen saturation had dropped to 85%.

The world health organisation posted on twitter said that “ it was deeply saddened by the passing of Dr.Li wenliang and we all need to celebrate work that he did on #2019nCOV”.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:

Those infected may either be asymptomatic or develop symptoms including fever, cough or shortness of breath cases can progress to pneumonia, multi organ failure and death. The length of the incubation period is estimated to be between 2 to 10 days by WHO.

DIAGNOSIS

The WHO has published several testing protocols for the disease. Testing uses real time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR). Chinese scientist were able to isolate a strain of the corona virus and publish the generic sequence so that laboratories across the world PCR tests to detect infection by the virus.

Corona virus: Why China?

Several deadly new viruses in recent years have emerged in china. Like: SARS,bird flu, swine flu, and now the novel corona virus (nCOV). Because the main problem is china always contain his every bad news to the world. At the end when the situation was out of control whole world suffered from this viruses or flu.
The basic thing common in those viruses is: all the viruses are from zoonotic infections.

Example: it spreads from bat to snake then snake to human and then human to human. After that it is called a human being specific disease by immutation.
If you want to check the history there was all the major disease that killed many humans was caused by zoonotic.

The world health organisation (WHO) estimates that 60% of emerging infectious diseases globally are zoonoses of the over 30 new human pathogens detected over the last three decades.75% originated in animals.

Reasons:

Where ever there is close mixing of humans and animals especially the unregulated handling of blood and other body products as happens.
Example:
China’s animal markets, there are greater chances of transmission of a virus from animals to humans and its mutation to adapt to the human body.

After these scenario we all know that ecology poses for emerging these types of disease. That’s why US federal agency centers for disease control and prevention(CDC) said that: “China’s ecology poses a risk for emerging, re-emerging and novel diseases that could threaten china and the rest of the world.”
